A remake of Crash Team Racing released two years later, eventually becoming the second biggest launch for a Crash Bandicoot title. This success left many wondering whether a new Crash game was imminent, but Activision took a more measured approach. It was incredibly well-received, and sold over 10 million units after less than two years on the market. Sane Trilogy released, setting a new standard for remaking a beloved but stagnant IP.
